The main objective of any BHCC literature course is to foster a critical appreciation of literature.

Participation includes: taking part in class discussion and group activities, completing in-class writing exercises and completing daily quizzes over the assigned reading.

Discussions: This course cannot function without your active participation in discussions. This, of course, means that you will need to READ. Please come prepared by having read all material. NOTE: Do not simply read online summaries of material. In-Class Writing: You should dedicate a notebook specifically to this course and complete your in-class writing activities in it.
